Support & Troubleshooting

Connection Issues & Subscription Help

Check each stage in order, from your account and subscription import to route selection and billing. Answers focus on the correct sequence and identify steps that must be handled in the user panel.

Troubleshooting

Locate the Stage, Then Change Settings

When something goes wrong, first determine whether the cause is your account status, subscription content, client settings, current network or target service. Change one condition at a time and retest after each change; changing several settings at once makes the source harder to identify.

Account Access & Subscription Maintenance

Account & Subscription

Guidance on account actions for registration, retrieving and updating subscriptions, and using AmdVPN across devices.

Does AmdVPN require an email address to register?

No. AmdVPN does not require an email address; you can create an account with a username and password. Use a unique password and keep your username safe, as these credentials are used to access the user panel, view plans and retrieve your subscription.

Where can I get my subscription after creating an account?

After signing in to the user panel and activating an available plan, get your current subscription from the account overview or client entry point. Do not look for static addresses in page text, search results or forwarded content; subscriptions are linked to your account, so always use the details shown in the user panel.

What should I do after updating the subscription link?

First retrieve the current subscription again from the user panel, then return to the client and update the subscription. If the client still loads the old content, delete the old subscription entry and import it again. Note your current route beforehand, then test the connection after re-importing.

Do I need to buy another plan when switching devices?

No. Switching devices does not require another purchase. AmdVPN supports unlimited devices, so sign in to the user panel on the new device, get the client for the relevant platform and import the subscription again. When retiring the old device, sign out and remove local subscription data.

Which systems support AmdVPN?

Windows, macOS, iOS, Android and Linux are supported. Client downloads are available through the user panel; choose the version for your current device. Moving between operating systems does not require buying the subscription again, although import steps may differ between clients.

Client & Network Environment

Connections & Issues

Start with the basic network, subscription status and app routing to identify why a connection fails or only some apps cannot connect.

What should I check first when the client says the connection failed?

First confirm that the current network can access everyday websites normally, then update the subscription and test another route. If no route connects, restart the client, close duplicate network tools and check that the system time is accurate. If the issue persists, submit a ticket through the user panel.

Why can my browser connect while a particular app cannot use the proxy?

This is usually related to the app’s connection method or the client’s routing rules. Confirm that the app has not been added to a direct-connection rule, then check whether the client is handling browser traffic only. If system proxy and tunnel modes are available, switch modes based on system permissions and the app’s behavior, then test again.

How do I troubleshoot a connection failure after moving from an old device to a new one?

Do not copy the old device’s local configuration file directly. Install the appropriate client on the new device, then retrieve and import the subscription again from the user panel. Test the connection with a standard route first, then restore your previous routing preferences. This makes it easier to identify whether the issue comes from the subscription or local settings.

What should I do if the connection drops after switching Wi-Fi or another network?

Changing networks changes the connection environment, so the existing session may need to be established again. Disconnect the client, confirm that the new network works, then reconnect to the route. If the old state remains, fully quit and reopen the client, then try another route.

Why can’t webpages open even though the client says it is connected?

Connected status only confirms that the client established the route; it does not guarantee that the target app is using it correctly. Test another website to see whether the issue is limited to one service. Then check routing rules, system proxy status and browser cache, and cross-test with another route.

Regions, Paths & Use Cases

Speed & Routes

Route performance depends on the local network, target region and usage pattern. Compare routes around the task you need to complete.

With so many routes, where should I start?

Narrow the options by the region where the target service is located, then compare routes within that region. For everyday browsing, start with regions on a shorter connection path; for specific content, match the target region first. Do not judge routes by name alone—test again when network conditions change.

What should I do about slowdowns during peak evening hours?

Evening slowdowns can result from the local network, congestion on international links and the target service’s load. Stop background tasks that use bandwidth, then switch to another route in the same region. If nearby routes perform similarly, try an adjacent region and compare initial loading, continuous playback and interaction response.

Should video, AI tools and regular webpages use the same route?

Not necessarily. Regular webpages prioritize connection responsiveness, video depends more on sustained transfer, and AI tools may also require a suitable exit region and consistent sessions. Test routes for the task at hand rather than applying one test result to every use case.

Why does the same route perform differently on different devices?

Device performance, wireless quality, the system network stack, client settings and background tasks can all affect results. For a fair comparison, connect both devices to the same network, choose the same route and close large-file sync and system updates where possible. If the difference remains, check the client mode and local security software.

How broad is AmdVPN’s route coverage?

AmdVPN covers 90+ countries and 200+ routes. The route count provides more regional and path options; it does not mean the farthest region is best for every situation. In practice, the target service region, current network and connection path usually matter more than the total number of routes.

Pricing, Data & Order Support

Billing & Refunds

Understand the billing models for monthly plans and data packs, including where to handle upgrades, payments and refund requests.

What monthly plans and data allowances are available?

Monthly plans include ¥9.9/month with 60GB, ¥18/month with 250GB and ¥28/month with 500GB. Choose based on your usual activities and data usage rather than allowance size alone; plan details and options available to your account are shown in the user panel.

When does monthly data reset, and how is a mid-cycle upgrade calculated?

Monthly data resets on the plan activation date each month. For a mid-cycle upgrade, the price difference is prorated across the remaining days. Before upgrading, review your current plan and remaining data, then confirm the available options in the user panel so the monthly reset rules are not confused with data-pack rules.

What data-pack options are available, and do they expire?

Data packs are ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB and ¥658/3000GB. They remain available until used and never expire. Data packs use a different billing model from monthly plans, which reset on the activation date, and suit users whose consumption varies and who prefer to pay according to actual usage.

Which payment methods are supported?

Alipay, WeChat Pay and USDT are supported. When placing an order, select the payment method in the user panel and verify the plan details. Do not pay through temporary collection instructions outside the page. After payment, return to the user panel to check the order and plan status.

How do I request a refund?

AmdVPN offers a 14-day no-questions-asked refund. To request one, sign in to the user panel and submit a ticket with the relevant order and refund request, keeping the order status available for verification. The refund policy page governs eligibility; before submitting, check whether updating the subscription or changing routes resolves the issue.
